Call for special Session
Dear Sir:
WE, the undersigned, members of the Common Council, hereby request that
you call a Special Meeting of the Common Council, pursuant to Section 30 of the
Charter of the City of Buffalo, for the following purpose:
(l) To discharge the Committee on the Whole from further consideration of
Item Nos 95, 96 and 97 of April 30, 1991 and to receive, consider and take
appropriate action on Local Law Introductory Nos. 6, 7, 8 with regard to
reapportionment plans.
WE request that this Special Meeting be held on Nay 7, 1991 at 1:45 pm.

A LOCAL LAW amending Section 5 of Article l of the Charter of the
City of Buffalo relating to Council Districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUFFALO AS FOLLOWS:
Section l. That Section $ of Article l of the Charter of the City of
Buffalo, adopted pursuant to law, be amended to read as follows:
Sec. 5. Council Districts.
The city is divided into nine council districts as follows:
NORTH DISTRICT
BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Elmwood Avenue
with the center line of Kenmore Avenue, said center line of Kenmore Avenue
being the north boundary line of the City of Buffalo and running thence
southerly and along the center line of Elmwood Avenue to the center line of the
Scajaquada Expressway; thence easterly along the center line of the Scajaquada
Expressway to the center line of Lincoln Parkway; thence south along the center
line of Lincoln Parkway to Soldiers Place; thence southeast along the center
line of Chapin Parkway to the center line of Potomac Avenue; thence westerly
along the center line of Potomac Avenue to the center line of Elmwood Avenue;
thence southerly along the center line of Elmwood Avenue to the center line of
Lafayette Avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Lafayette Avenue to

A LOCAL LAW amending Section 5 of Article l of the Charter of the
City of Buffalo relating to Council Districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUFFALO AS FOLLOWS:
Section l. That Section 5 of Article l of the Charter of the City of
Buffalo, adopted pursuant to law, be amended to read as set forth in the
attached Schedule A:
Section 2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
